Exeter Academy Staff

We try to use experienced and qualified teachers who use a mixture of authentic and original materials together with published courses.

There is focus on the four language skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Classes are taught by a team of teachers. Each class focuses on different language skills.

Exeter Academy has a special teaching system, the Multi-level multi-skill system, which allows each student to be in the most suitable class for: 'Grammar', 'Speaking and listening' and 'Reading, writing and vocabulary'.

On your first day at Exeter Academy, you will be given an entry test and then placed in a class according to your language level. At the end of your course, you will be given a Certificate of Attendance showing the level of English attained.

We continually assess your progress.

Students making rapid progress can move to a higher class and those who are finding the work too difficult can move to an easier level.
