We organise Days Out to many wonderful places such as the beautiful National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor, stunning St Ives, the UNESCO World Heritage sites of historic Bath and the amazing Jurassic Coast, the sunny English Riviera, and the world-famous coast of Cornwall.

Bath
Built for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. The waters are still a big draw, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. Bath’s compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain, making it the ideal city break.

Salcombe
The beautiful coastal town of Salcombe sits on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary making it one of the prettiest towns in South Devon. Located within the South Devon Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, Salcombe is known for its outstanding coastal views and rolling surrounding countryside, as well as a centre for sailing.

Boscastle and Tintagel
Discover the stunning coastline of North Cornwall and the lovely villages of Boscastle & Tintagel. Steeped in history, Tintagel is renowned for its connections to the legend of King Arthur.

Dartmoor, House of Marbles
Be amazed and amused at House of Marbles. Shop at House of Marbles for quality toys, games &gifts. Discover the glassworks where you can see traditional and modern glassmaking techniques in action.

St Ives and St Michael Mount
St Michael Mount is a rocky island crowned by medieval church and castle, home to a living community. St Ives is a town in Cornwall, England, known for its surf beaches and its art scene. The seafront Tate St Ives gallery has rotating modern art exhibitions, focusing on British artists. Nearby, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, in the modernist artist’s former studio, displays her bronzes and other works.

Cotehele House and Quay
An atmospheric Tudor house with Medieval roots, a working mill on an historic quay, a glorious garden with valley views and an expansive estate to explore.

Killerton
A family home and a great estate. Glorious landscape garden surrounded by parkland with fine 18th-century house.

Stonehenge
Take in the unforgettable atmosphere of this World Heritage Site and best known prehistoric monument in Europe, visit the world-class exhibition to discover how the Stonehenge builders worked and walk amongst the Neolithic houses to experience how they lived.

Lyme Regis
Lyme Regis boasts breathtaking scenery and a special mystique, making it a sparkling resort for all seasons. Its historic Cobb and harbour are iconic features, set against moody blue cliffs yielding fossilised evidence of life on earth millions of years ago.

Castle Drogo
Dramatic castle overlooking the Teign Gorge. Follow the winding paths below the castle into the sheltered Teign Gorge. Explore this ancient gorge, teeming with wildlife on trails along the river.

Overbecks
A hidden paradise of subtropical gardens, with a collection of botanically unusual and unexpencted plants. Once the home of eccentric inventor and collector, Otto Overbeck, Overbeck's house is now the home to the polyphon and Otto's electrical rejuvenator, which was all the rage from the 1920s through to the 1940s.

Knightshayes
A great post-war garden, 19th-century parkland and grand Gothic Revival architecture by Victorian visionary William Burges.

Dartmouth and Greenway
Visit Dartmouth, a beautiful harbour town in South Devon and Agatha Christie's Greenway House, nestled on the banks of the River Dart.

Coleton Fishacre
A 1920s country retreat complete with luxuriant garden by the sea. The arts and crafts exterior hosts a stunning Art Deco interior, complete with original features.

Finch Foundry
The last working water-powered forge in England.

Haytor Rocks and Bellever
Situated on the south eastern edge of Dartmoor, Haytor has spectacular views across Dartmoor and the South Devon coast and offers good opportunities for you to experience Dartmoor’s fascinating past and the stunning wildlife and heritage within a short walk of the National Park Visitor Centre.

Lanhydrock
Magnificent late Victorian country house with garden and wooded estate, with over 900 acres of historic countryside to explore and enjoy.

Woolacombe Beach
Stretching over three mile, the golden sand of Woolacombe can be found between the headlands of Baggy Point and Morte Point, backed by sand dunes and with views across the ocean to Lundy Island. The village itself offers a friendly, lively atmosphere with several local pubs, restaurants, and cafes to choose from, whilst the café at Putsborough offers views across the sea to reward the walk to the other end of the beach.

Valley of the Rocks, Lynmouth and Watersmeet
The Lynmouth coastline is dramatic, sheer and rugged, boasting some of the highest cliffs in England. Walk the Valley of Rocks, Lynton’s most iconic attraction.

Barrington Court
An atmospheric fragment of old Somerset: an empty Tudor manor house, beautifully restored in the 1920s, with farm buildings, abundant flowers and orchards.

Weymouth and Abbotsbury Swanary
Abbotsbury Swannery is the only place in the world where you are able to walk through the heart of a colony of nesting Mute Swans. There are all sorts of shops to be found in Weymouth's town centre, from traditional seaside rock and fudge to beachwear and books. Along with small independent retailers, you’ll also find well known high street shops, department stores and boutiques.

Totnes, Dartmouth and Brixham – Steam train, Boat and Bus round robin
Travel on the steam railway from Totnes, then cross the River Dart on our foot passenger ferry to Dartmouth, where you board the boat for Brixham. The cruise takes you out of the mouth of the river passing Kingswear & Dartmouth Castles, Dittisham village, Britannia Royal Naval College and Greenway House – home to the late Dame Agatha Christie. Return journey from Brixham by bus.

Eden Project
The Eden Project is nestled in a huge crater. Here, massive Biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, exhibitions and stories serve as a backdrop to our striking contemporary gardens, summer concerts and exciting year-round family events.

Morwellham Quay
The village of Morwellham was once a thriving port with copper ore mined from its George & Charlotte mine being shipped throughout Europe. Morwellham now forms the Eastern Gateway to the Cornwall & West Devon Mining landscape UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buckfast Abbey and South Devon Railway, Darlington Crystal
Experience serenity and an inspirational day out at Buckfast Abbey. Nestled in a valley on the edge of Dartmoor, the Abbey is home to a working community of Benedictine monk. As the only remaining UK glass factory, Dartington Crystal Torrington is the true home of British glass making.
There will be small charges for these Day Out to cover travel, entry to venue and other such costs.
